THE RAPTURE is an intimate and unique variety experience, featuring queer and gender-diverse excellence. Brought to you by an exquisite cast of potent, delicious creatures, and hosted by the Bespoke Daddy of Pole Dance, Cleo Rapture. Strap in for an explosive ride of magic, art, sensuality and soul; you're guaranteed the rebirth of a lifetime through wholesome hellfire.

Under the full moon of August 12th 2022, THE RAPTURE debuted at The Rogue Scholar, Newcastle, to a scorching hot sellout success. The second coming of THE RAPTURE took place on December 9th, where over $700 was raised for Share The Dignity's #itsinthebag campaign. 2023 kicked off with a very special 'Queer Rebirth' edition to celebrate Sydney World Pride, and over $500 was raised for The Gender Centre throughout the night. The June 2023 edition saw another spiritual evening and generous fundraising support for What Were You Wearing.​ After consecutive sold out shows since its inception, THE RAPTURE descended upon Sydney in September at legendary cabaret hub, The Vanguard, for a sellout evening in the 2023 Sydney Fringe Festival season. The sensual supernatural Halloween special edition saw a magical night of tricks and treats, where generous donations flew thick and fast for ACON Health NSW.

THE RAPTURE is a safe and inclusive event. Any unwelcome behaviour will not be tolerated and can be reported to organizers or staff. THE RAPTURE cast and crew follow all Covid-19 safety recommendations, and recommend all attendees obtain a negative rapid test prior to attending where possible. 

 

We recognize that this event takes place on unceded land of the First Nations people. We pay respect to their elders, past and present, and recognize that they are the survivors of more than two hundred years of dispossession.
